Things to Do

Spice Tour

Take a spice tour at our retreat, or at one of the many farms around Zanzibar. Pick peppercorns, peel cinnamon bark, and taste natural nutmeg and vanilla. Discover the fascinating prospect of taking away the seeds and powders for your kitchen cupboard.
Things to Do

Sports & Games

Our pool is almost certainly the highlight of the hotel, decked with luminous tiles that sparkle at night. At low tide, the shore is perfect for a dip in the sea. You could ride over to the nearby fishing village of Kiwanga, or guests who are more inclined to experience local games can take a stab at Bao – the native boardgame.
Things to Do

Stone Town

Zanzibar is very reminiscent of the exotic tales of Arabian nights and African Tribes that you were entertained by as a child. All of it comes together as a coherent whole in this historic town. The UNESCO World Heritage site is a labyrinth of lanes and minarets, dotted with colourful markets. Visit the House of Wonders, experience the romance of the Princess Salme Museum and wind it up with a dash of history from the 17th century Old Fort of Zanzibar
Things to Do

Wildlife & Nature

Head to the southern part of the island where you can embark on a dolphin spotting journey. This activity is best performed early in the day, before the dolphins dive deep, in search of cooler waters. Take a stroll with giant tortoises on Changuu Island, which is a 30-minute boat ride from Stone Town, or pay a visit to the cheeky, native Red Colobus Monkeys in the nearby Jozani forest.
Things to Do

Diving & Snorkeling

The island is home to many diving & snorkelling sites, of which the Mnemba Marine Reserve is particularly popular. Located about a 20-minute boat ride away from the shore, this fabulous underwater world, houses hundreds of species of fish. Divers and Snorkelers can always keep their fingers crossed and hope for turtle or gentle whale shark sightings!
Things to Do

Dhow Sailing

Any given time of the day, you will see the traditional Arabic Dhow making its way across the horizon. We can arrange local trips on the sea for fishing expeditions or just a sail along the pristine and serene coast of the Indian Ocean. Take a sunset cruise, relax and enjoy the calmness with a cocktail in hand.
Things to Do

Game Fishing

Being home to some of Africa’s best deep-sea fishing grounds, Zanzibar provides an exciting opportunity for fishing enthusiasts. Large schools of Kingfish and Barracuda among other species can be found so you will not be disappointed when you head out on your adventure activity!
